About

Hello and thank you for taking the time to visit Blacktide!Blacktide is a mercenary group primarily located within the Empyreum and operating within Ul'dah. Their main focus is taking the odd job: retrieving stolen items or cargo, dispatching dangerous creatures or individuals, or lending a hand to another Free Company if the price is right. Nothing too difficult nor complicated, right? One can hire them individually, or gather a few that meet the requirements for a job.Being a morally gray oriented Free Company, many walks of life are welcomed within the group. Numerous skill sets and practices are often sought out and appreciated. Random jobs can be individually handed out to a few members every couple of weeks and it leaves a premise for events to happen and flourish. With that being said, we are a casual RP Free Company but we do focus on content and other in game stuff as well.- Maps

The Lighthouse

[A flyer is hidden amongst the bulletin boards of the city-states; scattered and nailed to the walls of back alleys and unsavory places. They are tattered and worn, corners are ripped, slight yellowing, watermarks showing the age and how long it has been sitting there for others to find and observe. Upon observation, if it is found, the flyer speaks of a place in the Empyreum known as the Lighthouse, a tavern-esque location for mercenaries and travelers.

On-Site Staff

Originally founded by an individual that goes by the Keeper, it was a run down establishment; decrepit, a shallow shell of its former self, infested with vermin and those of questionable backgrounds, recently brought back to life when it was purchased and taken over by Blacktide. Originally located in Thanalan, it was rebuilt within the Empyreum to make a safe haven. The Keeper remained with some former staff, and continued to operate within the Lighthouse and alongside the new management.Upon entering, it feels welcoming. A well lit room with the Old Man and his Wife standing at the front to greet and accommodate anyone who may enter. A small tavern and arena located downstairs, the Keeper manning the bar for scattered patrons.Beyond the doors are numerous rooms for others to explore if they are not locked. A clinic for the injured, an onsen to rest and nourish muscle and mind; numerous workshops and semi-private rooms to explore and learn more about the individuals that call the Lighthouse home. Plumes of colorful smoke seep through cracks of some doors, hushed conversations are but whispers on the wind- faint to most. Unlabeled vials and tinctures that seemed favored or undesirable by individuals. Weapons, trophies, and scattered documents speak to the mercenaries and some of the tales that surround them. There are also numerous empty rooms waiting to be occupied.
